Dyche, 53, was given his marching orders after less than two years in charge at Goodison Park with the club entrenched in another relegation battle.

The Toffees were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth in Dyche’s final clash and sit 16th in the Premier League and just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Dyche becomes the sixth Premier League manager to be sacked in the 2024/25 campaign.

Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag was the first casualty back in October following a 2-1 defeat to the Hammers.

Less than a month later Steve Cooper was relieved of his duties at Leicester, before Wolves’ Gary O’Neil and Southampton’s Russell Martin were both axed on December 15th before Julen Lopetegui was dismissed at the London Stadium after just six months in charge.

This season has already seen double the overhaul than the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign where only three Premier League managers were sacked – Paul Heckingbottom (Sheffield United), Steve Cooper (Nottingham Forest) and Roy Hodgson (Crystal Palace).

But there could be more changes on the horizon in such a competitive season, and talkSPORT BET think Postecoglou is the most likely to be sent packing at 7/4.

Postecoglou has been odds-on favourite at various points this season given the club’s struggles.

But Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg victory over Liverpool and safe(ish) passage to the fourth round of the FA Cup has given the Australian some much-needed breathing room.

His odds are likely to drift or shorten massively depending on Spurs’ next Premier League fixture, which is the north London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates.

Southampton’s Ivan Juric, who only replaced Russell Martin in December, is next at 5/1 having overseen three defeats since taking charge – including a 5-0 hammering to Brentford last time out.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy is next at 6/1, ahead of Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola (10/1) and new Wolves coach Vitor Pereira (16/1).
