I upped my age bracket on Hinge, people think I’m a ‘mail order bride’ as my man’s 15 years older – his beard hooked me
A COUPLE have hit back at haters who judge them for their age-gap relationship.
Gita, 25, and Chuck, 40, have a 15-year age gap and met on Hinge, but it hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
Speaking to Love Don’t Judge, Gita admitted she was purposely looking for an older man.
She said: “I turned the numbers (age) up a little bit on it and I found him and I thought that he looked really handsome.
“I think what first got me was the beard for sure.”
While the pair have now been together for two years, Chuck confessed he thought he was getting scammed when Gita swiped right on his profile.
“I thought she was a scam account at first,” he explained.
“I was shocked that a 25-year-old would be interested in an old guy like me.”
Despite the age gap, the pair found that they had lots in common, both volunteering for wildlife and animals.
On their fourth date, Chuck invited her round for dinner and she says she was hooked from that moment on.
“It was so delicious, I never left,” she jokes.
While the pair’s relationship has continued to blossom, the pair admits trolls haven’t been supportive.
Many assume Gita is with Chuck for his money, while others have asked him how much he paid for Gita.
“‘How much did you buy her for?’ So mail order, like I just went in the catalog, found her and then brought her over from India,” he said.
Chuck even claimed that if Gita wasn’t Indian, people would assume she was his daughter.
Despite the nasty comments, Gita had just one thing to say to those spewing negativity towards them and what their relationship was really based upon.
“I wish he knew how much it improved my life,” she said.
“Experiencing that level of gentleness and compassion from someone else.
“So if you’re judging our love, I don’t think you found it yourself because once you have this level of love, you wouldn’t have the ability to judge it.”
The video quickly went viral on YouTube with over 43k views and many took to the comments in support of the couple.
One person wrote: “Two adults, genuinely love each other… I see no problem, plus they’re so cute together.”
Another commented: “She’ll keep him young.”
“You can’t help who you fall in love with. What a great couple,” penned a third.
